Neighborhood Beautification & Corridor of the Year
Improving the look and feel of our neighborhoods and roadways is leading the way to transforming Lockhart into the community that it's meant to be. Neighbors have invested thousands of hours already work, but everyone can make an impact in just a few minutes.
Community-wide Events
Community events like the Lockhart 150th Anniversary Celebration and Lockhart Community Easter Egg Hunt provide an opportunity for everyone to get together and enjoy being part of Lockhart.
Monthly Meetings
PoL General Meetings are held monthly and are open to everyone. We always have guest speakers including elected officials, local agencies and topical experts, as well as news from around the community and fellowship with neighbors.
Crime Prevention and Safety
Crime in Lockhart has plummeted, in large part thanks to a great relationship with the Orange County Sheriff's Office and a commitment by residents to proactively address issues.
History
The first permanent Lockhart residents of the modern era settled here 150 years ago. We are dedicated to the preservation of our long and rich history
Advocacy
Decisions that affect the quality of life, property values and availability of resources in Lockhart are made all the time by local, state and federal agencies. We want to make sure Lockhart's interests are protected.

Lockhart is home to almost 50 distinct neighborhoods. Each one has something to celebrate, and we have a lot to celebrate together
Our Vision:
Downtown Lockhart
The next big step forward for Lockhart is a revitalized "downtown" (neighborhood center) along Edgewater Drive, as called for in Orange County's Vision 2050.
Natural Resources
Although much of Lockhart is developed and paved, our borders contain many important natural resources...as well as many residents committed to preserving them.
